Edith Friese Obituary

Edith Barbara Friese, age 90, passed away peacefully on September 27 from age related causes.

Edith was born on January 12, 1933 in Butte, Nebraska to Ernest and Ruby Selle. The Selle’s lived in Raymond, Washington before settling in Reedsport, Oregon, where they ran a logging outfit. Edith’s first job was driving a log truck at the age of 12. Edith graduated from Reedsport High School in 1950. She met her husband, Robert Friese, in Reedsport and they were married in 1955. Robert and Edith were married for 35 years until Robert’s passing in 1991. They had one son, Michael, who they raised in Eugene, OR. Edith is survived by her son Michael of Powell Butte, two grandchildren, Jordan and Amanda Friese, and one great grandchild, who she adored. Also a brother, Robert Selle, of Oakridge. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Cascade Health Hospice.
