Lyle went to meet his eternal Father on January 8, 2024, with his family by his side in Reedsport.
Lyle was born at home February 2, 1938, to parents Chas and Mary (Tucker) Weeks in rural Missouri. He spent his early years in the woods hunting and fishing and wondering where the sun went down.
After Highschool Lyle moved to Kansas City and went to work at the General Motors plant in Fairfax, where he eventually retired.
Lyle was baptized in his mid-thirties at a Southern Baptist Church.
In 1984 Lyle married the love of his life Loretta. Together they loved to travel, going as far as Novia Scotia, Maine, and Louisiana.
The two moved to Reedsport in 1994 so that Lyle could fish and enjoy his retirement, which he certainly did.
Lyle loved rock hunting and was into archeology. He often hunted for arrowheads and found a lot throughout the years. He loved taking drives and visiting Burns, Oregon for obsidian hunting, and he even helped with an archeology dig in Missouri.
One of the things Lyle loved to do most was fish. He enjoyed talking and sharing with people, and he never met a stranger. Lyle was very generous with his knowledge and anything he had.
Lyle had a special place in his heart for his pet dog Slugger. He was the best husband, father, brother, uncle, friend, and neighbor.
Lyle is survived by his wife Loretta, son Tucker, sisters Nina and Mary Jo, brothers-in-law Ronald Holmes, Lonnie Holmes, and John Sledd, sister-in-law Grace Troupe, and many nieces and nephews.
He requested that no service be held.
