Burdy Elva Morrison, 95, passed away peacefully on March 30, 2018. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April 18, 2018, at 12:30 p.m. at Reedsport Masonic Cemetery. There will be no viewing held prior to the service.
Burdy was born on July 3, 1922, in Neelyville, Missouri, to Claude and Cecil (Johnson) Bell Burdy was raised in Klamath Falls, Oregon, where she graduated from high school. She and Robert Ewing Morrison were married on June 16, 1940, in Klamath Falls. The couple enjoyed over 71 years together until Robert’s passing in 2011. They and their family lived in various cities in Oregon and Central and Southern California. Burdy worked as a landscaper, bookkeeper, and crafter, but her favorite role was wife, mother and grandmother.
Burdy enjoyed sewing, oil painting, gardening, crocheting, craft fairs, making soft stuffed dolls, being a camp host, camping with grandchildren, traveling and growing her prized dahlia flowers as part of her membership of the Dahlia Gardening Club.
Burdy is survived by: daughter, Judy Jones, Santa Clarita, California; son and daughter-in-law Kenneth (Sheryl) Morrison, Salem, Oregon; son and daughter-in-law Dale (Susan) Morrison, Rancho Mirage, California. She is further survived by grandchildren: Scott G. Morrison, Scott M. (Gracileia) Morrison, Tracy (Ben) Samek, Kara (Todd) Brahana, Becki Jones, Ryan (Stephanie) Morrison and Nicole (Allan) Kehrer. Burdy also had ten great grandchildren: Collin, Isabelle, Elise, Griffin, Harper, Paige, Max, Leo, Nash, and McKenna.
