Colman Clide Porter was born October 11th, 1934 in Hopper, Arkansas. He went home to be with his Lord on December 30, 2021.

He moved to Gardiner to work at the mill - Gardiner IP, as well as doing various jobs starting on the green chain to 22 years as head sawyer. He worked as a sawyer for Bohemia for a few years then for CHM Hill as a millwright. He was a volunteer on the Gardiner Fire Department for forty-four years.

His hobbies were hunting and fishing. He loved to travel, most notably in parts of Europe and all over the United States. He also loved to putz around in his shop working and building things. He could do anything. He built two of his own homes in Gardiner, one in 1979 and another in 2003.

He married Patricia Fagin on October 22, 1956 and they celebrated their 65th anniversary in 2021.

He has one daughter Judy (Brad) Anderson of Springfield, Oregon and one son Tim (Barbara) who proceeded him in death.

He has two grandsons: Kevin Anderson and Ryan Porter, as well as one great-grandson, Theodore Porter.

Services will be held at Dunes Memorial Chapel on January 7th, 2022 at 1pm with a graveside service to follow at the Reedsport Masonic Cemetery.
