Kathye Ann Bailey

Kathye was born in Danville, VA, following the birth of her older sister Nancye Louise Owens. Kathye was born to Mr. & Mrs. William Richardson. Her Parents later divorced. Her Mother remarried Donald Gilbert, who later adopted the girls as his own. Kathye proceeds her parents in death.

Kathye graduated high school and married the love of her life, Richard Bailey. They had 3 Children together: Richard Bailey, Donald (Hillary) Bailey, and Daughter Jodye (Jay) Powell. Kathye always said her proudest moment was the day she became a grandmother. She has 3 grandchildren: Kailey Powell, Austin Powell and Colby (Natalya) Powell. Kathye Had 1 great grandson, Myles Powell.

Kathye was well-known for being the owner of Kathye’s Kitchen and Outback Lounge in Myrtle Creek. Kathye also was known for The Cell tavern in Sutherlin until her stroke. Kathye was always full of smiles and laughter. Kathye was part of a large family. Kathye had 1 niece, Nickye, and 2 nephews Joseph and Eric. Kathye had 1 great nephew, Adam Fain and 1 great niece, Kiralye Gould. She had great nieces and nephews consisting of Kenneth (Hannah) Gould, Emilye Fain, Neacye Gould, Adam Fain II, Jonny Fain, Jamison and Kayden Canfield. Kathye spent the last few years of her life on the Oregon Coast with her great niece, Kiralye Gould, and her sister, Nancye Owens. Kathye Passed away peaceful Sunday morning, April 26, 2026, surrounded by her loved ones and amazing nurses and CNAs at Aidan Senior Living in Reedsport, Oregon.
