Reedsport-Myrna Harris, 87, passed away Monday, March 18, 2019 peacefully at home surrounded by her loving and devoted family. A Celebration of Life will be held on at the Marina Activity Center in Winchester Bay on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made to Special Olympics of Oregon or Reedsport Education Enrichment Foundation, P.O. Box 203, Reedsport, OR 97467.

Myrna Mae Hackert was born in Medford, Oregon on July 4, 1931 to Albert and Dorothy (McKee) Hackert. Myrna was raised in Jacksonville, Oregon and graduated from Jacksonville High School in 1949. She married Donald Harris in 1950 and they made their home in the Medford area and had three children: Mark, Donna, and Julie. They relocated to Reedsport, Oregon in 1974, where Myrna was very involved in the Oregon State Women’s Bowling Association, was secretary of the Oregon State 600 Bowling Club for over twenty years. Myrna loved being with her family, and was a proud grandma of 6 and great grandma of 9. Her fun-loving spirit, kindness, and unmistakable laugh will be missed by those who knew and loved her.
