Phyllis Clairann Friese passed away with her family by her side on November 22, 2023, at the age of 83.

Phyllis was born on July 12, 1940, in Reedsport Oregon She is the daughter of Fred and Berniece Bates, the sister of Sharon Scott of Portland and proceeded in death by her brother Micky Bates of Veneta.

Survivors include her husband of 63 years Gerald (jerry) Friese, A daughter Cathy and son in law Dale Bishop, and a daughter Karin Newman. She was a loving grandmother to five grandchildren Kara, Kevin, Jack (Trey) Robynn and Rachael. She was also blessed with 6 great grandchildren Kaylee, Devyn, Richard, Ava, Tenley, and Jaxson.

She was married to Gerald Friese on December 31, 1959, in Roseburg Oregon. Phyllis was a devoted homemaker, and enjoyed cooking, sewing, scrapbooks, and gardening. She was deeply loved and appreciated by many.

Memorial Service will be held at Dunes Memorial Chapel on Saturday January 13th, 2024, at 1:00pm in Reedsport Oregon.

The Family welcomes donations to South coast Hospice as an expression of sympathy rather than flowers.
