Ralph grew up in Tigard and graduated from Tigard High School. After high school he pursued a career at Tektronics. He also was in the U.S. Army National Guard.

Ralph married Mary Helen Summitt in 1952, they resided in Tigard and Reedsport. Ralph enjoyed many hobbies such as model trains, gardening and raising daffodils.

Ralph is survived by his son, Ron and Shannon Durkee of Coquille; his son, Robert and Patricia Durkee of Hillsboro; and grandchildren, Rhianan Ewer, Stephanie Durkee, and Edward Durkee.

Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, Dora and Michael Ochs; sisters, Joyce and Charlotte; and his beloved wife, Mary.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later time. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to South Coast Hospice.
