IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Robert
Gardner
November 8, 1968 – March 11, 2024
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Robert “Bob” Gardner, a beloved husband, father, soldier, and craftsman, who left us on March 11, 2024, at the age of 55. Born on November 8, 1968, in Nampa, Idaho, Bob spent most of his younger years in Nampa riding his bicycle, playing with farm animals, tinkering with mechanics, and taking the occasional ride on the cattle truck with dad. In 1986 the family moved to Reedsport, Oregon, where he met the love of his life Nicole. Their journey as a married couple as well as parents began in 1989 with the birth of their first child Carrie, followed by the births of two more children, Kayla and Spencer.
Known to all as “Bob”, he was a mechanic by trade, but his true calling lay in service to his country. Bob answered the call of duty, joining the ranks of the US Army. For 13 years, he served with honor and distinction, as a mechanic, engineer, and infantryman. Amidst his military service, Bob remained true to his roots as an outdoorsman and craftsman. He found joy in the great outdoors. His love for adventure was matched only by his devotion to his family, cherishing every moment spent with those he loved.
Robert is preceded in death by his daughter Kayla.
He is survived by his wife Nicole, his children Carrie Wilson and Spencer Gardner, his parents Alma and Albert, his brother Scott Gardner, as well as four nieces, one nephew, and six grandchildren.
Robert’s passing leaves a void in the lives of many. He will be forever missed but will remain a source of comfort and inspiration.
