Obituary

Robert “Bob” Allen Street, 75, of Reedsport, Oregon, passed away on December 19, 2025.

Bob was born on December 5, 1950, in Portland, Oregon, to Robert and Evelyn Street. He was raised in Portland before moving to Reedsport in 1967 to live with his uncle and aunt, Harold and Mary Warren. Bob graduated from Reedsport High School in 1969 and shortly after proudly joined the United States Navy.

Bob shared over 45 loving years with his wife, Mary, and together they raised two daughters. Throughout his working life, Bob was known for his strong work ethic and dedication. He worked at International Paper in Gardiner, West Coast Auto Body in Reedsport, KenWare Chevrolet in North Bend, and Johnston Motors in Florence, where he eventually retired.

One of Bob’s greatest passions was serving his community as a volunteer firefighter. He joined the Gardiner Fire Department in 1974 and later the Reedsport Fire Department in 1979, where he faithfully served until his passing. Bob never met a stranger who didn’t quickly become his friend, once you started a conversation with him, you were hooked. His warmth, humor, and genuine interest in others left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

Bob had a lifelong love for cars, anyone who knew him knew he seemed to have owned just about every one out there. He also enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, riding quads, shooting, and photography. Above all else, Bob cherished making memories with those he loved, especially his family and his three grandchildren, of whom he was immensely proud.

Bob is survived by his daughters, Kandi Street and Maddie Schuttpelz (husband Chad); and his grandchildren, McKenzie, Lacey, and Casen Schuttpelz, sister Michelle Mcintrye.

He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Street, parents, Robert and Evelyn Street; his uncle and aunt, Harold and Mary Warren; and his sister, and Diane Tallman.

Bob will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at the Reedsport Fire Station No. 2 located at 2680 Frontage Road, Reedsport, OR 97467
