Rosemary Love Wert was born November 28, 1915 in Union Parish, La to the late Royal and Leila M. (Crow) Love. At the age of eight she and her mother moved around some, spending time in Texas and California. Rosemary graduated from high school in Los Angeles. Following her education she and her mother moved to Reno where she worked as waitresses. They moved to Oak Ridge where she met her future husband.

Rosemary was united in marriage to Eugene Wert in 1939 in Vancouver, Washington. They celebrated fifty-three years of life together and raised five children. Eugene preceded her in death in September 1992.

She was a busy wife, mother and homemaker. They spent the first year in a logging camp before moving to Cottage Grove in 1941 and on to Reedsport in 1963. Over the years Rosemary was active selling Avon and working with the Welcome Wagon. In 2009 she moved to the Garden Valley Retirement Center where she had many friends and very good care.

Among her personal interests she enjoyed the trips to Alaska with her children, going camping and working on her many oil paintings.  In 1995 she had the opportunity to travel to Europe with her daughter and son in law. It was the trip of a lifetime and she just loved to share the memories of that trip with her family and friends.

Rosemary was preceded in death by her daughter, Barbara Wert in 1964.

Survivors include her daughters and sons in law; Sharon and Charles Brodigan, Diana Lindsey, Sons and daughters in law; Stan and Virginia Louise Wert, Steven and Bonnie Wert, twelve grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and the tenth is on the way.
