Shawn Michael Christian, 37, of Reedsport, died Sat. Oct. 19, 2013 of wounds he received in an altercation in Reedsport.

Viewing and visitation will be held Sat. Oct. 26, 2013 from 10 am to 11 am at Dunes Memorial Chapel, 2300 Frontage Road in Reedsport.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sat. Oct. 26, 2013 at 11 am at Dunes Memorial Chapel, 2300 Frontage Road.  Private Cremation Rites will be held.

Shawn Michael Christian was born June 16, 1976 in Coos Bay Oregon to Darell K. Christian and Debi (Mather) Neuman. He was raised and educated in Powers, having attended high school in Reedsport where he played football.

Over the years Shawn worked in the logging industry on the Oregon coast, most recently for Deans’ Mountain Logging in Reedsport.

He loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping.  As a young man he spent time cutting and hauling wood with his Dad. Shawn was a past member of the Reedsport Moose Lodge.

Survivors include his parents; Darell and Robin Christian, Reedsport, Debi Neuman of Madras, children; Makayla and Gerad Christian of Powers, brother, Dylan Christensen, Muldun, maternal grandmother, Darlene M. McClare, uncle, Randy and wife Michelle,  LaGrand, aunt, Kim Willson, Seaside, Ca.,

Also surviving are nieces, Lindsey, and Cameron, nephew, Ryan as well as many friends, neighbors and coworkers.

He will be deeply missed by his by his family and friends.
