Jean was a longtime resident and business owner in Winchester Bay and previously resided in Brownsville with her husband, Ernst Herbert Busse from 1975-2005.

She was preceded in death by Pamela Narber; her husband, Ernst in 2011; daughter, Ryan Berst; grandson, Jordan Alford; great-grandson.

Jean is survived by son, Todd Golterman of Carmichael, Calif.; daughter, Kelly (Busse) Morse of Vancouver, Wash.; son, Nathan Busse of Lebanon; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Jean was known for her generosity, open heart, and fun-loving spirit. She loved her antiques, going "junking" and socializing with customers at her motel.

Her memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 12, at Dunes Memorial Chapel, 2300 Frontage Road in Reedsport, followed by a "Jean-style" celebration at Salmon Harbor Landing Motel in Winchester Bay at 3 p.m. Viewings will be Thursday, Feb. 11 from 4 to 7 p.m. and Friday from 9a.m. to 1 p.m.
