Her hobbies included gardening, canning, sewing, crocheting, swimming, numerous fishing and camping trips with her family and bowling in a local bowling league. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Shirley is survived by her husband, Dennis Jackson of Reedsport; brother, Allen Leach of Lompoc, Calif.; son, Jerry Jackson of Reedsport; daughter, Tammy Shepherd of Elkton; grandsons, Jake Jackson, Jesse Jackson, Brandon Shepherd, and Cliff Shepherd; granddaughter, Darcie Shepherd; and 13 great-grandchildren. Special thanks go out to Shirley's good friends and extended family members for their love and compassion to her, and her wonderful, compassionate caregiver Kate, who we now consider part of our family.

We will not be holding any services at this time, but a special celebration of life will be held later this spring for friends and family.
