Noranne Louise (Nori) Tucker passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 1, 2019 at Lower Umpqua Hospital in Reedsport, Oregon. Nori was born on August 28, 1947 in Santa Cruz, CA. She graduated from high school in Klamath Falls, OR and worked as a nurse’s aide and as a paramedic as she attended college to become a registered nurse. Nori worked for more than three decades as a nurse at Lower Umpqua Hospital serving hundreds of local residents and visitors to Reedsport. She also was an animal- lover and continually cared for her companion animals: dogs, cats, horses and birds.
Nori was sustained by her faith and was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was preceded in death by parents Bill and Eleanor (Brooks) Tucker of Bandon, Oregon and nephew Brooks Tucker Wilson. She is survived by her brother, John (Terri) Tucker, and sisters Sue (Rick) Blanchard and Laurie Wilson, as well as several nieces and nephews. Her family is grateful for the love, care and support provided by members of her church and community throughout her long struggle with diabetes.
A graveside service will be held Friday, December 6th at 1:00 p.m. at Myrtle Crest Memorial Gardens on Rink Creek Road in Coquille, Oregon.
