Ralph W. King

Reedsport-Ralph W. King, 94, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, February 11, 2019. A memorial gathering will be held on February 20, 2019 from 3-5 p.m. at the Reedsport McDonalds. where free coffee and apple pies will be served which were Ralph's favorite.

 Ralph was born on December 18, 1924 in Sanger California to Fred and Elizabeth (Cantry) King. He was raised in Caruthers California, he would eventually meet and marry Bertha June Hart, they were married on July 23, 1951 in Carson City Nevada. The family would live in Fresno California, Bandon Oregon, and Reedsport. Ralph spent his working career as a truck driver, owner operator. Ralph enjoyed watching western movies and reading western books. He served honorably in the US Marines, from 1941-1945, he saw action during World War II in the Solomon Islands, Mariana Islands, Guadalcanal, Saipan, Tarawa, and Tinian. He is survived by his daughter Kimberly June King. He was preceded in death by his wife, June King and sister Phyllis Guynes.
